Leave the 30th Street bluster behind and step inside the warm, rose-gold glow of FMC’s lobby to meet Daniel, WSC’s long-standing coffee cart operator. They come to us from Concord, NH, take their coffee black, their books eclectic, and if given the choice between sharing a cinnamon roll and some caffeinated convo with either Groucho Marx or Karl Marx, their pick, they assert, is dependent upon the day.

At our beloved coffee cart, Daniel has some exciting new initiatives and additions to share with you. We are thrilled to be premiering a new rotating menu of classic yet inspired sandwiches and hand-crafted soups. And, if you’ve got a huge, hungry crew to feed, you can order in bulk from Daniel all the soups, salads, and sandwiches you’ll need, made available for next day pickup. Whether it’s a traditional Ham & Cheese with an elevated touch, or a more exotic Chicken Curry Wrap with grapes and iceberg, Daniel and the cart will have you covered. Stop in and see for yourself!

Did you hear we have new pastries?! If you know Walnut Street, then you know that our pastry program is what makes us click! Fresh off the oven, we have four new pastries and they are just what the doctor ordered.

Pumpkin Dulce de Leche Kouign Amann: We know you love our classic kouign amann as much as we do, but we thought we’d spice it up for you this season. This buttery, sugary bundle of joy is filled with pumpkin pastry cream and dulce de leche and is topped with a delicate candied orange peel.

Banana Nutella Muffin: Yes, this is as good as it sounds... if not even better! With dark chocolate chips folded in, we scoop out the middle and fill it chock-full of Nutella. Yum. Topped with banana cream and candied hazelnuts, this muffin is perfect for a cold winter’s day... or any day for that matter!

Raspberry Cheese Danish: Brace yourselves, kids, this one is a good one! Filling our diamond dough shape is a thin layer of raspberry jam which is baked with sweet cheese filling and then topped with fresh raspberries. This adorable pastry pocket is the perfect balance of tart and sweet.

Apple Almond Croissant: Our croissants are already pretty special, but this one is off the charts. Soaked in vanilla syrup, this baby is filled with Granny Smith apples and almond cream, and topped with apple butter and cinnamon meringue. It is worth waking up for!

Meet Chris Naughton! An all-star barista from Takoma, DC, Chris has graced us with his hard work, can-do attitude, and gracious smile. In pursuit of his passion of acting, Chris attended Skidmore College and graduated with Honors in the Theater Department. Post-grad, he decided to return to his mother's hometown -- Philly!

On his days off, Chris enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, and working on an ever-changing screen play he is writing.

Since joining our team this past June, Chris has made a deep impact on our Walnut Street family! Stop on by for your morning coffee served with a little extra love from one of our favorites!
